POPULARITY OF ROBOTIC SURGERY
It can be seen that robotic surgery is getting increasingly popular with patients. The number of robotic surgeries performed in the US has increased from 80,000 to 205,000 from 2007 to 2010. The number of da Vinci systems available in hospitals have also increased from 800 to 1,400 (Lipschitz, 2010).
